Jake Anderson is a hands on builder, not only knows how to recognize the problem but can offer solutions to save you time and money. Jake Anderson has been a hands on Builder for 16 years, and has been in construction all his life. This isn't something that can be taught in a ASHI inspector class, or simply studying for the Builders test to get a license, or who bought your Realtor lunch or cookies. ASHI inspectors simply pay a fee and take a quick class and test. This does not teach what your are truly wanting from a home inspection. You are paying for expertise, opinion, evaluation and solutions. I had a local inspector, charges the highest fees in Traverse city, absolutely the highest. There was a simple gauge on a well was not working. This inspector claimed the tank was bad and would require a new pressure tank. Did not offer any solutions. I called Jake and he was on the job that day, it was a simple $2.00 gauge, and the tank needed to be re-pressurized. All in all about $2.00 in material and 15 minutes in labor, and the closing happened, new home owner was relieved. Another transaction, same inspector, took over 2 weeks to get his well and septic evaluation back, claims he found a "crack" in the tank. I asked, what is the solution, he did not have one, he never installed a septic system. Called Jake, having installed over 40 septic systems in Northern Michigan, he advised the repair needed. Called got it repaired, and the transaction closed. Inspectors should not cause more headaches. Hands on Knowledge, Experienced. Call Jake Anderson 231.218.5325 if you want an honest, educated, assessment of your potential home purchase. You won't go wrong.
